Yes, it will work with AV receivers. You can put the WiZ HDMI sync box between AV receiver and TV and plug in all your video sources to AV receiver. 

Video sources -> AV receiver -> WiZ HDMI sync box -> TV

• Connect your video sources (e.g., Google TV streamer, Apple TV, cable box, game console) to the AV receiver.
• Connect the AV receiver's HDMI output to the WiZ sync box's HDMI input (HDMI IN).
• If your AV receiver has multiple HDMI outputs, you can connect the TV to one output and the sync box to the other.
• Connect the WiZ synx box's HDMI output to the TV's HDMI input.
