WiZ devices require to be plugged onto a stable power source. They are not compatible with
any form of dimmer switch/circuit or 3-way switches. Even when left open at
100%, those may still not provide complete and stable power, which will in best
cases create some unexpected behavior and in worst cases irremediably damage
the hardware.

That is why WiZ advises to use the application to adjust the brightness of the lights.
